METRO Blue Line Stations

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - While employed with Edward C. Barker & Associates, Elliot S. Barker, Vice President of BASE provided architectural services for the Artesia, Compton and Florence stations, consisting of 15.2 miles of transit routes. The scope of work included canopy design, station seating, paving patterns, park-and-ride vehicle lots, lighting, signage and facility finishes. Mr. Barker was also involved with outreach efforts, working with community members to aesthetically integrate the stations, as well as uphold the standards set forth by the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission (LACTC) during the design process.
